Dress: Saloni | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Turtleneck: H&M | Earrings: Bauble Bar | Bag: Celine | Sunnies: Rayban | Lipstick: Nars Cruella

This was my first time experiencing NYFW and it really was the incredible experience I expected it to be! My schedule was packed and I was on the go the moment I got there, but it was totally worth the post-exhaustion! Thursday kicked off fashion week for me and I had my busiest day of shows, blizzard and all! I wore this gorgeous Saloni dress, with OTK Stuart Weitzman boots. I wanted a bright, fun print, but needed something somewhat practical while maneuvering through snow and ice, so somehow this outfit did the trick! I wore a sleek black turtleneck under the dress so it was more winter appropriate. I finished the look with my favorite Bauble Bar Crispin earrings. They are so chic, and also lightweight! I’m stocking up in every color!

My Thursday shows included Tadashi, noon by noor and Michael Costello. Here are the highlights and my recap from each amazing show:

OMG! This show was truly breathtaking. I loved all the floral prints and girly silhouettes. The floral top coat was so elegant, yet something that you could throw on over jeans and a t-shirt for an instantly chic look. The pink fur collar was the perfect touch. This is something I need in my closet! Another standout piece was this velvet, floral embroidered gown. The drapey off the shoulder sleeve was such a pretty detail. The way the floral embroidery is positioned down the front of the dress is so flattering and creates a gorgeous illusion. This is a trend I never want to go away. Lastly, the floral brocade suit set was just incredible.  I love anything menswear inspired, and this jacquard print adds a femininity to the pant suit. The blue and gold colors give this a regal look. There were so many beautiful pieces, it was hard to only pick a few favorites!

Noon by Noor:

Noon by Noor was all about the neutrals, and who doesn’t love that!? The show included a mix of oversized masculine silhouettes, and  etherial, beaded pieces that were incredibly feminine. The collection focused on the cut and fabrics, with soft sweaters, and textured chiffon. All the pieces draped perfectly over the models, and created a movement as they walked down the runway. It was a very warm and calming collection. Another highlight of this show was seeing Olivia Culpo in the front row! She is so stunning!

Michael Costello:

I ended my day with Michael Costello and it was definitely one of my favorite shows! The gowns were so stunning and full of detail. Even the music was exciting and brought me back to life after a long day! Everything was black and white, with lots of beading, sparkle and chiffon. The models floated down the runway with long trains and capes trailing behind. I loved the way they belted the gowns also. It added an edge to the formal evening-wear collection! The pictures speak for themselves on this amazing collection!

With all the madness of NYFW, it was so nice to have a few hours to unwind and get pampered at Dream Dry in Flatiron. Dream Dry teamed up with Style Collective for an amazing event, where we got to sip champagne while getting a blow out and hanging with my blogger gals. The salon is decor is amazing and luxurious and the staff is so friendly and accommodating! I decided to get a blow out and a braid crown and my stylist nailed it! I was so excited to try something different, and I am so picky about my hair, but DD did not disappoint! The coolest part, after getting my hair washed, and my glass of champagne, my stylist provided me an I pad with pictures of hair styles for me to choose from! How innovative? I thought that was so awesome. The event was the perfect opportunity to relax for a bit in between shows and I walked out with a fabulous hair-do.

Here are the details from my outfit:

Elleoquent Blue

Sweater: J Crew | Skirt: Guess (Similar) | Stockings: Hue | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Sunnies: Dolce & Gabbana | Bag: Chanel

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I went out to Montauk with a few of my girlfriends for a week of relaxing, champagne, and lots of laughing! It is so nice going out east in the off season when it’s quiet and serene. We really came back feeling refreshed. I needed a weekend like that before jumping into this week, which will be a full on frenzy with NYFW! I am so excited to be heading to a bunch of shows this season, and will be sharing all the moments with you guys through instastories and snap! I have been putting together outfit options and can’t wait to show you what I decide on. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago and finally was able to get it up on the blog! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect cobalt blue sweater since last winter and I finally found it! J Crew always comes through! It is really soft, and is currently an extra 40%, making it $24!! I also was seeing these “leather look” pleated skirts everywhere and knew I had to have one. They are so chic and go with sweaters, blouses, blazers… everything! As much as I’m willing warm weather to come, it is still very much winter in NY. I am tired of wearing black tights with everything, but these polka dot tights are a really great replacement for the standard opaque tights. They will provide a little bit of warmth, but are much sexier and really add to the outfit! Shop all the details above, with some more options below! I hope everything has a productive week, and check back for NYFW updates later this week! Xoxo

Rainbow Bright

Sweater: J. Crew | Shirt: Gap | Jeans: Hudson | Sneakers: J/Slides | Jacket: J Crew | Bag: Chloe | Sunnies: Rayban

One of my favorite things with fashion, is drawing inspiration from other peoples high-end, expensive outfits and recreating it within my budget. I saw my favorite blogger Something Navy wear a colorful striped sweater and thought it was such a cute piece for winter, to brighten things up. When I clicked the link I found out, to my dismay, that it was a $700 Saint Laurent sweater. I quickly moved on. Then, as I was browsing the J Crew factory sale section I noticed this adorable multicolor sweater that I actually liked more than the YSL one! Score! It has such a casual vibe, so I paired it with my favorite pair of white sneakers, and then kept everything else monochromatic with grey tones. It is the perfect look for day time, and I love it most because I can bring it into the Spring and pair it with white jeans, and a white tank, and tie it around my waist. I hope everyone started this week on a positive note! Xoxo

Lacy and Flowy

Blouse: Free People | Jeans: Abercrombie | Pumps: Christian Louboutin | Bag: Milan Blocks | Sunnies: Prada

I scored this gorgeous Free People top on sale, and it has luckily just been restocked. I wasn’t sure if it would be flattering since it is SO flowy, (I was thinking it might be one of those items that would be reserved in the “maternity” section of my closet, when I’m not even pregnant) but it actually has a very nice fit. I was also worried about the keyhole opening in the neck, and didn’t want too much cleavage, but with a lace bralette it looks perfect. I decided to wear this with really skinny black jeans, but it is long enough in the back to wear with leggings. I saw it paired with over the knee boots on the model, but it is too sheer and short for that I think. All in all, it is the perfect romantic blouse for a night out!

In other news, I’ve been super busy prepping for Fashion Week! I am starting to get my invites to shows and trying to plan my outfits and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Xoxo

The Embroidered Coat

Coat: Zara | Jeans: Joe’s Jeans | Booties: Marc Fisher | Bag: Saint Laurent | Sunnies: Marc Jacobs

This new embroidered trend has got me like 😍. As I do, I was trolling Instagram and found a blogger from another country in this coat and I had to have it! I searched the Zara US website but had no luck. I then put in a google search and a bunch of them came up on E-Bay! I’ve always been skeptical of eBay but I had to have this coat, so I decided to order it from a seller with a good rating. I was so happy when I opened the box that arrived a week later! This coat is everything and more. It is really great quality and the embroidery is so pretty! It is such a statement coat but I feel like it can be worn with so many different things, and different colors since the floral design picks up multiple colors. All in all, it is a must have! I linked it above to the EBay seller that I purchased from, but if you are not keen on ordering off of there, I linked some jackets that are also badass and have the embroidery flowers. This coat has a military vibe so I wanted to keep my outfit really simple, and decided to go with my pointy toe flat ankle boots for a very polished look. I was searching for a while for the perfect pair of black flat booties. I found a pair of amazing Givenchy ones, but I just could not justify spending so much money. When I found these Marc Fisher ones I was sold immediately. They are pointy enough to be super chic, and the star studs are subtle but add the perfect edgy tough. This is the way to do practical winter style.
